The literacy program with impact far beyond words.

EMPOWERMENT THROUGH LITERACY

READucate elevates underprivileged Filipino communities by enabling literate individuals to teach English reading and writing in their communities.

Our teaching curriculum focuses on achieving an age-appropriate level of functional literacy to improve overall well-being, foster confidence, and build social responsibility in our youth.

THE LITERACY CHALLENGE

Many Filipino communities are disadvantaged by inadequate resources, curriculum gaps, untrained teachers, and insufficient facilities.

90%

of 9 & 10-year-old students are unable to read with understanding.

1.6

million Filipino children and adolescents (5-17 years) are out of school.

6

million people are deemed to be functionally illiterate in the Philippines.

<20%

of teachers employ “good” or “best-practice” teaching methods.

OUR IMPACT

The READucate literacy program is designed to meet both Reading Coaches and Learners where they are by equipping them with the training, tools, and support for transformative progress.

“I love the program because I have learned so much, and the activities with my Reading Coach are fun. READucate has helped me improve my reading and writing skills in English. Before, I didn’t know how to read or write, but now it’s different. I feel more prepared and excited to enter first grade. I can’t wait to participate in class.”

OUR PARTNERSHIPS

WE CAN’T DO IT ALONE

We partner with organisations across the Philippines to expand literacy access and uplift our disadvantaged communities. Through collaboration, volunteer support, and program sponsorship, we can empower youth together.
